The anglerfish print was inspired by female angler fish that was observed off the coast in Lanzarote in 2025 floating up toward the surface of the water for the first time ever recorded. This print symbolises a world hidden in the ocean’s abyssal zone, where life has evolved in darkness for millennia. Her glowing lure, once a symbol of survival and certainty, forces us to reflect on warming waters, pollution, and deep-sea mining, disrupting the home she depended on. The work reflects on the unseen consequences of human activity and the delicate ecosystems that suffer far beyond our sight. Through the anglerfish’s story, the print asks us to consider what happens when the places we call home are slowly taken away.
