Rachel Jones
Rachel Jones ‘Summer Blooms’ is a linocut printed using Cranfield ink on delicate Nepalese lokta paper. It is inspired by the flora I see around my village in summer - I wanted to capture some of the joy that these blooms gave me during the warmer months. The flowers are rich in symbolism too - with roses for love and forget-me-nots for remembrance among other species. I hope that when someone sees this print they will pause to appreciate the handcarved details and perhaps remember times when the weather was balmy and the evenings seemed to never end.
